Every build includes 30 days of support after launch, covering bug fixes, small adjustments, and questions as you settle in. After that, ongoing maintenance plans start at $99 per month and cover security updates, backups, uptime monitoring, and a monthly allowance of content changes. Maintenance is entirely optional, and declining it does not affect your ownership of anything.
Website builders are a reasonable choice if you need something basic and are comfortable building it yourself. The trade-offs are that you cannot move the site off the platform, performance and SEO capability are limited by the builder, and customization stops where the template stops. A custom build costs more upfront but you own it outright, it loads considerably faster, and it can do things a template cannot.
